Illinois Largest State Park! This park, just off of I-90, is located on the Northeast side of Rockford. The trails are mainly groomed for classic skiing. After skiing, we’ll go for some lunch nearby.
This is a beautiful location within 1-2 hours of our area.
We will be meeting at the Red Oak Shelter at 10am. Enter at the Main Entrance of the park and follow the signs to Concessions.
Cross-country skis and snowshoes can be rented through Concessions.
Directions:
I-90 West to Rockford. Take the Highway 173 Exit. Go West for one-half mile to the Park Entrance. For more information about the Rockford Area, please visit the Rockford Visitors Bureau
