Development of our sport picked up from last year’s talk after a quick review of earlier times.  Skiing during the past 156 years transitioned from military and practical transportation to recreational and competitive activity.  That is, it became a sport.  Equipment became modernized with new materials and design.  This talk focused on the Scandinavia and Norway in particular.
