Saturday 01/30 Nordic Trail, LaGrange, WI 8AM till 5PM Cost: $5 WI trail & parking fee

Description: This is one of my favorite trips. The South Kettle Moraine State Park is a beautiful ski area just north of Lake Geneva, WI. An easy 2-hour drive puts you on a trail that is groomed for both classic and freestyle skiers. The trail is set weekly. There is both easy and challenging terrain for both beginning and intermediate skiers. We’ll plan to ski from 10-12, have lunch in LaGrange (just 2 miles away) and return for skiing from 1-3PM.

Description: Just a 2½ -hour drive north brings you to this beautiful park. It is a great day trip with 24K of both skating and classic. When the snow is available, it will be groomed and spectacular! The skiing is for all levels. For those members not going on the trip to MapleLag.

Saturday thru Friday 02/06-02/12 MapleLag, Callaway, MN 8AM Saturday till 10PM Friday Cost: $700

Description: Currently we are planning to limit this trip to 20. Watch the website for updates. This is our big trip of the season. More than 50K of cross-country skiing trails on site and another 200K nearby which we will ski with daytrips. This is an all inclusive destination with wonderful meals and fantastic grooming. www.maplelag.com

Description: This is our annual trip to the North American Birkebeiner. On Friday is a 10 K race for all persons. On Saturday is a 51K ski race for intermediate and advanced skiers. There is also a 23K Kortelopet for all levels of skier and there is also a shorter 12K race for all levels. Attend for the skiing, or just for the fun and cheer your favorite skier to the finish. We all have fun. In past years more than 15 Nordic Foxes have participated.
